The Istituto di Genomica Applicata (IGA) is an international centre of research in genetics and genomics of living organisms.

The scientific research at the IGA relies on a number of disciplines ranging from genetics to structural genomics, molecular biology and computational biology. The Applied Genomics Institute is a part of the non-profit Association “Istituto di Genomica Applicata – IGA”. The Association provides scientists with logistic support and fund raising, and actively promotes the transfer of the outcome to society.
